Films, films, films

So the first film I watched this extended weekend was "I Want You" with Rachel Weisz. The director is Michael Winterbottom, the one that directed 24 Hour party people, 9 songs, Jude. When I realized he had directed all these films, I understood why this one feels so obsessive. The film is a little strange but that's the intention. It's also really sexual, which considering the other films he directed, makes me think the guy is a bit of a pervert. But that's alright.
On the plus side, the photography is really good, some scenes are very touching and it has the greatest theme song, sung by Elvis Costello - I want you. I didn't know the song but it's become addictive right now.

Today I re-watched a film called "L'auberge espagnole" or "Pot Luck" or "The spanish apartment". I've mentioned this before, it's one of my favourite films. It was great watching it again, it really put me in a good mood. It's about a flat in Barcelona, inhabited by students from all over Europe (Erasmus rings any bells?). It's about a lot of things, that's why I enjoy it.

Madelyn: I hope you can find them. Since they're european, they might be harder to get. But I hope you do!

I must find that film...any film with a theme song by Elvis has got to be good.

Kimananda: I was never really interested in Elvis Costello until now but I must investigate a little further :)

Hmmmm - I thought I had posted a comments, but it disappeared. Where did it go? I don't know that song, but I do love Elvis Costello. Further investigation appears to be neccessary :)

Stephanie: Don't worry! You should really investigate, especially the song, it's fab :)
