I'll stop talking about blogs in a minute...

Kimananda knows how to make me think and she made this great post about blogs. Since I'm asking you to share your experiences with blogging with me later for my seminar, it wouldn't be fair not to tell you my side of the story. I hope it's not too boring.

1) Why and how did you start your blog?
I thought blogs were egotistic things for people that didn't have anything else to do with their free time...until I decided to create one because I originally wanted to post fiction that I wrote. I was divided between wanting to have an audience and not wanting anyone to read it. Eventually I didn't post any of that and I'm not sorry.

2) If you have a special 'nom de blog', how did you choose it?
Devil Mood is a song by Smoke City that I really like: it is very passionate and it mixes english, french and portuguese lyrics. I feel a connection with that and I'm frequently in a devil of a mood so...that was it.

3) How did you come up with the name for your blog?
As I've mentioned before, the name of the blog is a song by Sade and also something that I think is very true. This didn't have to be the name of the blog but I thought it fitted well and I'm happy with it.

4) What things do you tend to blog about the most, and why?
Well, as you know, I moan a lot about work but that's because I'm experiencing a particularly traumatic experience of my first "job" and it's very stressful. Otherwise, I'd rather post about music, emotions, books, memories and love. But it can't always be like that. In short: me me me!

5) Are there subjects you'd like to blog about, but don't, and if so, what is stopping you?
I'm not particularly open about my life here but that's not because I don't trust people that come here or I don't want to share things with them, it's really because that's what I'm like in blogs and in "real life". I don't feel the need to post about other things but someday, who knows?, I might surprise you.

6) How do you organize your blogroll/links?
More or less by the order I met people, I think that's fair.

7) How do you feel about the design of your blog?
I used to like it but now I'm sick of it. Too dark, characters that are hard to read, I'll probably change it again one of these days. I'd like to get something unique but I'm not patient enough to try to learn how to do that.

8) How often do you post new entries on your blog? Would you like to post more (or less) often?
I like to post everyday because I feel blogs are sort of a diary. I can't post anymore, or I'd get addicted and even more frustrated when I don't have much to say.

9) How often do you read and/or comment on other blogs? How do you find new blogs to read?
I read other people's blogs everyday when I have the time. I find new people either from other people's blogs or if people come and visit my blog. Sometimes I shuffle and look for something different.

10) Have you done anything special to get others to read and/or comment on your blog?
I can't say I don't aim to please. If you notice, at the beggining of the post, I said I hoped this wasn't boring for you so...there is a concern with the audience. I try not to be too naggy and I'm happy when people enjoy what I post.

I just watched highlights of Liverpool v Fulham...they won, they scored goals, Cisse was pretty instrumental in getting the third and fourth goals...

I will be going to Craven Cottage on Sunday to watch Fulham v Chelski (lets see what all the fuss is about)

The photo goes so well with the post, and with your overall blog design. And thank you! Yours was one of the 'nom de blogs' that I have wondered about. I may have to find out more about this Smoke City...a mix of English, French, and Portuguese lyrics...I'm intrigued!

oh don't tell me spammers are back!
anyway, nice answers. if you google "blogger templates" you are going to find some sites that offer free unique templates. You just download them and paste the whole code to your template tab in Blogger. But you should save the original template since most of these tend to lose a couple of things like blogrolls etc. It's easy, really.

FB: They seem to be getting back on track. You're going to the game? great! I'll be watching on Tv probably so wave to the camera ;)

Madelyn: I just love hot-air ballons, love them! Do you feel floaty? Or distracted?

Connie: I'm glad you enjoyed it. How about Mumbo Jumbo? ;)

Kimananda: The band is half brazilian, half british, I think. So they mix some brazilian rhythms with a more urban style. I hope you like them!

Chloe: Thanks. I had thought about searching for something like that but I was lazy...:P

Day: Yes, I agree. I hope you enjoyed it.

Stephanie: ooh, thanks :) I'm glad you say so!
