A task for your imagination

Scholiast had this proposition for us - write about 250 words on this principle:

Imagine your father coming to see you at school, riding a tricycle and wearing a Roman helmet. How would you explain this to your friends?

I really enjoy this exercises on creative writing so I gave it a try. It's only about 150 words but I thought it was boring enough. If you wanna give a try, be my guest.

I was in one of those boring history classes, drawing little hearts and flowers in my notebook when I looked out the window and my mouth fell open in amazement. There he was: my father in his tricycle…that wouldn’t be a surprise in itself if he wasn’t wearing a Roman helmet! My father has always enjoyed building strange vehicles and the tricycle was his favourite. It was obviously made for his size and it almost looked like a Harley Davidson (except it had 3 wheels…). I was getting used to him driving around in that and my school buddies weren’t giving me such a hard time anymore…but now that roman helmet was too much! Suddenly, I remembered there was a costume party in the neighbourhood and he probably wanted to ask me if I wanted to go. Maybe I do, Dad!

Day: ah nothing special ;)

Scholiast: I don't know...that's another story ;) Oh I have to get a task for other people? I didn't realize? In the same scheme? :)

Maddy: I get in that state often and I sound like a lunatic but it's funny :)

Meow: My week is going okay :) I hope yours is good too. Take care!

Hey, that was cool. I may have to try this one myself. As opposed to writing my project... ;-)

Kimananda: It's tempting to avoid work, isn't it? I did that ALL day today...I'm so angry now! :P
