Football

Ok, now I'm gonna sound like a crazy football chick but I don't care.
My team lost today against Tottenham 2-0. The result isn't the worst part, or maybe it is. We played really well, had some wonderful combinations and wasted a few chances. The trouble is our defense: anyone that comes running a bit faster can get past our players. It's really easy...That's why we lost against Arsenal last week, too. On the other hand, we might create chances but there's no-one there in the front that's guaranteed to score.
It seems to me like we're gonna lose a lot of games this season, albeit playing really great football. I'm not sure the coach is aware of that.

I think we have a very good bunch of players and the team work is starting to show. It's just the defense, it's really fragile, wich is odd because we've always had such great central defenders: ricardo carvalho, jorge andrade, jorge costa...The tradition is being lost.
At what place did Villa stay in the Premiership last year? Is it really that worrying this year? That's what's so great about the premiership: nothing's guaranteed for anybody and every year there's excitement about who's gonna get the uefa places and get relegated. You have to focus on the positive side of it! Well, I guess I've said too much already :P

I guess being a football fan has a lot to do with worrying. You can't really appreciate a win if you never lose. And, yeah, after those two years with Mourinho, not winning was a strange thing! I think we got back from cloud 9 now; let's be realistic, we're a good team but we're not Ac Milan and all that.
I'm sure you'll have a victory to celebrate soon. And winning in the premiership is quite different from winning elsewhere, that's a really tough championship. I'll be watching out for Villa's results :)
