Teen love

There's no doubt that being in love is one of the most, if not the most wonderful feeling in the world, right? But I'm especially fond of teenage love. Is there anything more exciting than being in love when you're just a kid but with hormones jumping up and down inside of you? lol Then you can't even eat properly and you just don't know what to do with yourself, there's music. I thought of this today when the radio was playing "Eternal Flame" by the Bangles - just a typical teen love song.
For me it was more "Crazy for you" Madonna (really old song for my time lol) or any other song from Something to Remember, "To the end" - Blur (wonderful!), Sugar Coma - Hole, In the Arms of Sleep - Smashing Pumpkins...I don't know, these aren't exactly representative.
This was in the my early teens when the exhilaration was as its peak. Later it became a little darker (in terms of the songs I picked to celebrate my love). Most of the times the really meaningful songs weren't really love songs but just regular songs that became important by some association.
How about you and your songs of teenage love?

My first teenage love song was "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" by The Smiths. It ended badly, lol. She dumped me because I was "too weird" and went out with my best friend instead. For four years. Oh well.

Oh, that is just not done! :( Still, the song stays forever.

They split up eventually. She cheated on him. We're still best friends and I never blamed him or her for it. Well, maybe a little at first, but it obviously wasn't meant to be.

It was better that way then. My teen love song eventually became mostly songs of broken hearts but I still enjoyed being in love, just for the sake of it. lol
