There I was talking about the Tudors and this week's prompt on Sunday Scribblings is what we'd do if we were kings and queens of the world. And if you're not totally blown away by this coincidence, guess what I read last night? Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass and there Alice says "Let's pretend we're kings and queens!".Well, let's!
First of all let me assure you that I would be a crappy Queen because I wouldn't want to be one. I'd hate the exposure and the responsability. Even being the Queen of Cups in Alice would be a bore - 'off with their heads!' is not my idea of fun. So if I found myself in that place (forced to it, no doubt) I'd be mad, mad, mad, biting my fingers like that.
And then what would I do? I'm feeling very unimaginative today, so I'd make a law that would make everyone have a pet. Because I was thinking and pets are good for everyone, even for psychos. Pets are great for active people, but also for lazy people. They're great for the quiet but also to the communicative. They're a joy to the loving but also a lesson to the aggressive. And this way there would be no pets in the street. Would this change the world? Probably not but I have no such ambitions!

Ha ha! Loved this post. U wouldn't like the responsibility huh? LOL I, on the other hand would be thrilled; know why? I love to communicate to a wide audience and love for my voice to be heard. Love to give away instructions and LOVE to go back and look at the progress :P
Hopefully thats pretty much what a Queen is supposed to do? ;) I'd have elaborated more ... but haven't taken up Sunday Scribbling for weeks now! :-/
If I were Queen I would demand safe housing for everyone. There are so many people without a home where I live, it is sheer INSANITY.

I think you'd be a great Queen..no sitting alone in grand palaces..you'd be in amongst your people making sure they all had the right pets..would you introduce Royal Sargeants to make sure that there is a good spread of species?..imagine a whole city of Cats?..would you favour 'Exotic' pets ?..EG: Emus, Three Toed Sloths..Wolves..Condors? Do head lice count?
If I were queen kids would have to take classes on how to respect others.
Miss Iyer: I guess it's true what they say about some people being born to be queens and other not so much. If everybody loved to hear the sound of their own voice, there would be no-one to listen, would it? :)
