Domesticity

Gillian from Indigo Blue posted a few shots of her home, suggesting we did the same. Since home is where I've been spending the majority of my time, it seems fitting to post a few images of domesticity. This first one shows an old box of belgian chocolates called, yes, Guylian. So Guylian/Gillian was in my house all along and I didn't know it. Inside the box some crafty materials.

I've been working on some bookmarks with scraps of paper. They're supposed to be for other people but I'm too in love with some to be able to give them away.

On the bedside: Pride and Prejudice and music. No wonder I don't fall asleep until 3 or 4...

My Hopper calendar for April. Love that painting :)

This is the scarf I'm knitting at the moment. It's wonderfully soft, white and gold and I'm adding an angel wing. I love it!

Have you noticed how easy it is to pile up things? These are magazines from the time I bought one every month. I'm sure I stopped buying them about 6 years ago but I still have piles and piles like this one...

How about you? Would you like to share some domesticity (clutter and all)?

I love these little glimpses into peoples lives..actually your photos don't give me the impression of a 'cluttered' life..(at least not the kind of clutter I'd call clutter)...I like the book marks..especially the one with the eye on...I can see why you don't want to give them away.As for piles of magazines...I too have piles (hahahahaha!) mainly old 1970's Marvel comics and old S.F.X magazines.

Should I post a picture of my Kylie calender?...probably best not to eh?

FB: Cool! You have good taste obviously. Mine was a gift but definitely one I'd buy.

Chrispito: What a coincidence :) I do love that painting too andit reminds me of my friend who gave me the calendar; sometimes we sit on cafés.

Dr.John: hehe What's that they say? Some man's clutter is another man's treasure?

Niall: I finished the scarf just now and it's splendid, I have to say :)
My problem with the bookmarks is that I want to get them inside a plastic cover because they're fragile but those plastic papers that glue to things are a nightmare!!
On the top of the picture there's my collection of The Face magazine, now deceased ;)

I love this kind of post too.
I think I do it too all the time, with the cooking and traveling, not sure there's alot more domesticity left. I'd love to see more of yours. I LOVE the scarf and the painting.
I'm an expert piler. but sometimes I need to throw things away to make space and it's very liberating. you're pile is much more organized then mine though.=)

Nice snapshots of our Ms. Mood’s life!
If I were still in Dallas I might have participated with my own snapshots but I haven’t had a home of my own since then…most all my stuff’s in storage… Even if it wasn’t, after looking at Gillian’s Better Homes & Gardens presentation, mine would have been… Well, let me just say that she and her friend Joe have some serious flair!
Anyway, I loved all your stuff because it’s your stuff and I know how I just loooove all my stuff!!! Does that make sense? :-/

Violet: Yes, I've seen plenty of your domesticity but I like it! I love throwing things away more than actually piling but sometimes it's good to keep things for whatever may come...

MissAlister: Yes, it does! I didn't know you were from Dallas. Don't you miss having some constant domesticity? ;)

PS: Thanks! You know Gillian already so you know you'll love her post.

Vesper: Thank you. I think knitting might be good for when you're not feeling so "gemini", maybe in your taurean days ;) for relaxation.

I was raised here in New England so TX is actually my adopted home. And oh YES, I miss it terribly. All my stuff put just where I like it… Prints bought at the Cottonwood festivals done by my favorite artists… My water garden, little white lights in my indoor trees… *sigh*

Diyadear: Hi! Of course. It'll be nice to have you back on blogworld.

MissAlister: I'm sighing with you at the description.

Gillian: Oh you are demanding, aren't you? hehe Your paintings are amazing so I completely understand.

I love these posts, and I miss homey clutter! Having moved such a long way, I lead a relatively thing-free life at the moment.

Stephanie: I like being thing-less usually. But homely is good :)

Ohhh, I like peaking into other people's homes. Your bookmarks are wonderful - make sure you keep the one you like the best! And look at your scarf with the angel wing- so pretty and so creative!
