sunday scribblings -- observations

This week my observations will be almost only visual.

I'm tired of all the verbal part of my brain.

So I'm letting myself watch fireworks and listening to dreamy music like this.

And I'm wondering if a person that works and comes up with words all the time, in their own language and others, can take time off words while on vacation...

Some jobs are never ending, it seems, no? ;)

Sometimes it's better to simply watch and be quiet, as quiet as you can (inside and out).

Sunday Scribblings.

Chrispito: Yay, I'm proud of you too. That wasn't a very verbal trip, I hope ;)

I watch, quietly, all the time, but then I just have to write about it :-)
I wouldn't call it work - it's simply what I do - I have to - I love it!
Literary OCD?

Wow what brilliant pictures! It really is hard to take time off from that verbal side.

Miladysa, thanks, I really like it myself.

AnthonyNorth: Perhaps! Don't you get a little tired sometimes? Maybe it's just me...hehe

Shadow: Thank you.

Murat: Ah, you're very welcome!

You have no idea how sick of my Mum's verbal side I get. I am not verbal at all. I watch and listen. Lovely photos.

I almost decided to skip Sunday Scribblings this week, since I,too, am getting a bit tired of words. So much so that I have not even been writing comments on some really fine blogs - such as your sparkly pictures.

i totally agree! being silent is wise practice.

Some time off from words?! Maybe that's what I need! I'm certainly very tired and this year has been very full of words! I too work with words, teaching English, but so far have been filling my vacation with learning Japanese! Oh, and your fireworks are awesome! Perhaps observations are best made silently!!

I'll keep it short, in keeping with your post: Amen!

Has anything changed?

I love your post. Beautiful photos and the words that described them, and your reasons, were great observations.

I need the prompt each week to get myself to explore my writing in different ways. It's very new to me, so I'm not tired of it yet. Maybe down the road, but not today anyway.

i hear ya!!! - my words seemed too much like work this week, so i used some art, too --- these pics are beautiful and make for such a pacific post - thank you!!!

Hi Lucy! Thank you!

Linda May: Then you are like me and I get extremely exhausted by extraordinarily verbal people too. They don't know the value of silence, do they?

Granny Smith: Oh it's not just me then! Yes, blogging is extremely verbal, gets a little tiring, even in very good blogs. But thanks for dropping by.

Vesper: Ditto :)

Fearfullymade: I wonder if Japanese is not as tiring as English...maybe changing to a new language is somewhat refreshing, or perhaps it's the same thing.

Patois: hehe thanks :)

Gautami: hey, thanks.

Nita Jo: oh the prompts are great and, I agree, very helpful with writing. It's the general writing and reading and thinking that can get tiring. I think I need a time-out.

Danni: thank You :) Good strategy, let's use more images when we're tired.

I love the blooming lights..skyborne Chrysanthemums..

sometimes it is all we can to but to sit and watch...it is in looking that we sall see and in listening that we shall hear.

At work there's a ritual of sitting and chatting with coworkers at lunch. I usually enjoy being friendly. However, there are days when I take a book, go outside, hide and just enjoy being alone. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. It feels really nice to simply sit back and relax instead of trying to maximize output all the time.

Texasblu: Oh you're welcome, thanks for visiting.

Linda May: Ok! thanks and good to see you here :)

Niall: It is quite obvious, isn't it? Glad you liked the photos.

SirBarrett: Yes, that sounds like me. The simple acts of socializing often drain my energies lol

and that's why i love you.
no words!

some days i don't want to talk at all and i don't even pick up the phone. And when M tries to have a conversation i say "it's nice to be comfortable in silence". Which is a nice way to say shut up.

Chloe: I'm glad you do love me this way because I can be annoyingly quiet. =)
