Singer-songwriters

I like this genre but the term is really stupid. They're not the only ones who write their own music. They should name it: "lonely person with a guitar/piano and nothing else in the back".
Sorry, I'm really out of inspiration today, I've been channeling every bit of it into my writing. So I'll leave you with a quote:

"I know I dreamed you a sin and a lie
I have my freedom but I don’t have much time
Faith has been broken, tears must be cried
Let’s do some living after we die

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, we’ll ride them some day" Rolling Stones

(Jewel has a stunning live-version of this song, gives me goosebumps :P; I wish I could scream my guts out like she does ;)

I agree! Oh, let me know if the Portuguese I put on your link is wrong or doesn't make sense...

LOL that was funny. The first part is fine, but maybe the second part should be: "algo diabólica" instead of "algo de um diabo". I mean, the point is made but it sounds better this way. Well done! No-one will understand it but me though..oh and you, of course!

Thanks you! I'll swiftly re-arrange it :)

ok, it looks nice with those comments on the links :) Thanks for putting me there.

You're welcome! Didn't put you there previously as was working on the Portuguese to put on there! I know, I'm slow :(

Jon: don't worry! Your portuguese is getting better and better everyday.

The Steve: I should've said alone instead of lonely. It's probably a genre that comes naturally to people. I've found myself making up tunes with the guitar too.

"let's do some living after we die"

that's so melancholy and poetic. makes me feel mixed emotions.

Valerene: yeah, mixed emotions. It has some hope for some kind of future even after death but also why don't we live a little before we die, right? I think it has to do with the context of the song, I haven't analyzed it too well. :)
