Being a woman is...

I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's for the first time. I had read the book but I couldn't remember most of the story. I really enjoyed it because it reflects the transition from the romantic fifties to the craziness of the sixties. It's still very romantic with the love story and Moon River all throughout the film but some moments are very funny with the japanese neighbour and the parties...
I really enjoyed the cat - it was a very important character.
The final scene made me cry a little ... I'm such a girl!

p.s. - I'd thought about changing my template but, considering the amount of people that did it recently, I decided to take a stand and not do it. I'm keeping it! (for now)

I'm going to re-do mine too at some point. I'm tired of talking about myself, so I figured I'd overhaul the look of the blog instead. Also, I LOVE Breakfast at Tiffany's. If it's not on my profile favorites I'm going to fix that right now.

I need to watch that film. I'm sure, from all I've heard, that I'd love it. And as for the template, yep, I did mine totally spontaneously and (I thought) uniquely, and it was only as I was then going through my links and visiting people that I realized that I was part of some strange unconscious drive for change that had hit at least 4 that I saw. It was very disappointing. :-( So, take a stand.

I've never seen the film but I've heard the song (not moon river but the britpop breakfast at tiffany's) and its very jaunty.

Plain blackis my way forward, people can look at my words if they want to see something else.

Day: Maybe I will...one day, from night to day..who knows? Enjoy your weekend too!

Stephanie: We all need a change from time to time. It's great the film, isn't it ? :)

Kimananda: It's one of those classics. I saw it was playing on tv and I couldn't miss the chance to see it. :)

Nevets: That song is nice, it's good to like the same films to create a "common ground", like they say in the song.
I think I'd miss the black template if I changed it - it makes everything look very elegant.

Connie: Coincidentally there was a film yesterday about Audrey Hepburn's life. She's one of those divas :)

I can't make stands.

Nevets: That's right! :) I saw a picture of the little black dress at a magazine today: it's still a fashion statement, people say.

Chris: Of course you can, and you have!

I haven't seen that movie for years. It is gorgeous, don't you think ??
I like your template ... doesn't need to be changed.
Hope you are well.
Take care, Meow

Meow: Yes, I loved the film :) You should see it again soon because it puts you in a feminine mood and that's great! Thanks, I like my template too (a little). Have a great week!

The postives far outweigh the NEGATIVE in the film but Mickey Rooney as Yunioshi is an aberrration that Hollywood should be embarassed and ashamed of.

The short story is very good and much sadder than the film which comes off as quite frothy and light.

Had Audrey Hepburn not been so charming the film would probably have dies...

I prefer 'How To Steal A Million' and 'Roman Holiday' though.

FB: I forgot you were the film expert! :) I haven't seen those two, unfortunately it's not very often that we can see the classics on tv. You're right, I didn't remember the book having a happy end..
