The new album from Amy Winehouse is out and I got it last week. It's called Back to Black and it's great, but I wouldn't expect anything else from Amy. Her debut album Frank was simply amazing...I think she is probably my favourite "active" singer...she is definitely my favourite from everything that's hip right now. In fact, I love her so much I'll post 3 pictures of her in this post heheh
You might think that's an excess (3 pictures) but Excess is Amy's middle name. Well, she's not insane but she's pretty crazy. Her lyrics are so raw and so honest they make me want to hug her. Her look is very outrageous but it suits her really well because she's not hiding from the world in any way.
Okay, so enough of tributes: the new album sounds simultaneously classic and modern, that's why her sound is so good. If you haven't listened to her, go now (lol). The only downside is that the album is only 35 minutes long :( And also that she's my age...so it makes me feel a little freaky looking at her and where she's at...
Biggest recommendation: the song "Back to Black"
