And I realized my camera had a way to make everything blue, so I tried it.
These may start to seem repetitive but the skies were simply beautiful that evening.
And then I realized my camera also took black and white pictures. I thought to myself: This is one hell of a good camera. Well, to be honest, it wasn't like that. I mentioned to my friend that I could've been taking pictures in black and white, so we jumped excitedly to her balcony and starting shooting in every direction. We are a little enthusiastic about things. A few moments later we were attempting line-dancing to the sound of Bruce Springsteen's Pay Me My Money Down. It's all on tape. Funnily enough, I'm the only one that was filmed.
This shot has a secret. It had to be done quickly before the camera was confused by the light behind the clouds.

Lovely photos. Twilight has always been my favorite time of day. Everything looks so much more romantic.
not bored at all! great pictures!
Nope I'm still not bored of Porto,,,carry on taking pictures.
How did you get the shots from the high viewpoints?
Have you been scaling buildings like spiderman?!
your narrating made it feel like I was there!!
devil,
i think we've all been having a wonderful tour of porto. and wats more, its free! i especially like your narratives that go with your snap - gives us a glimpse of your free spirit!
wish i lived in ur friend's apt - its got a magnificient view :)
Does the photo with a secret have somebody's head in it?
Eric: True! Thanks, glad you like it :)
Holychaos: Good! I'm glad!
FB: Excelent eye! I hadn't noticed that. It's my friend's head and the view was from her balcony, so I'm not scaling buildings yet - but nice suggestion!
Day: Oh that's great! Hope you enjoyed yourself.
Dharmabum: The apartment is really tiny: kitchen, living room and bedroom in the same space but it has a great balcony with great views, doesn't it? I'm glad you're enjoying it!
I'm not bored at all, especially not of the black and white pics. However...ribeira? The way the city rises up from the river is the best part, yes? One of the best parts, anyway.
no not bored.
jealous.
Kim: I will get there, I hope. Hopefully at sunset when the light is best.
Sophie: No need to be ;)
Not bored.Lovely lovely pictures.Sounds and looks like you really know abou angles, light and stuff about photography.Your pictures speak volumes.
That's it, then. I'm officially saving up money to go to Lisboa, either with a friend who's also a fado fan or "just" to go visit my friends there -- but now I must unofficially include at least a few days in Porto... Got a spare bed? ;)
PS: I really don't know anything about photography, trust me. It's just intuition and luck too ;)
Scholiast: You should definitely come. I'll do my best as a tourist guide :)
Are you presenting your pictures here as they were taken?..you should try cropping some of them...isn't it good to be able to 'control' the camera?
Niall: They are just as I took them. Still didn't find the patience to try special effects on them. I control it but not too much. hehe
that's it...i'm packing my bags right now and moving to porto!!
Ooooh, what wonderful photos. You sure do have a good camera there. You live in a beautiful city. Thanks for sharing.
Take care, Meow
Vesper: haha okay! I'll be waiting for you :)
Meow: I'm glad you like it. The camera was really cheap but it seems to do the trick.
the photos are beautiful. i especially like the black and white one with the bird in flight. i also like that the commentary makes me feel like i was there while you were taking them :)
Stephanie: :) Good!
