Sometimes days just pass quickly, so quickly that it seems there wasn't even enough time to produce a single original thought. I seem to be immersed in the sea of routine things and thoughts, having no energy to detached myself from it and create something different. And without an original, different thought, I cannot post. I can, but I don't want to. It's not fair on anyone, especially not on my carefully woven blog. (lol)
My choice of words is not random here - I usually blame all this fuzziness on my Neptune and, you may know, Neptune is the roman god of the seas - that's why I feel "immersed". Seas are usually deep, mysterious and you can rarely see their bottom - before I say they're a bit like me, what I mean to say is that these characteristics are also present in Neptune. Unless you're on the shore and the water is very shallow, there is a lack of transparency and clarity in the water and that's what happens with Neptune - it can confuse, illude and make you see things that aren't exactly there, though most of the times you can't really see anything very clearly. The same thing happens if you look at the surface of the planet - what could be behind all of that blueness? It's hard to tell, if you're not an astronomer, that is.

Of course we all have a Neptune and we're not all deluded and head-on-the clouds individuals, thank God. Thank Saturn too, the specialist in clarity and reality that makes us bang our heads in the walls so often. Saturn who is incidentally Neptune's father in mythology. What makes my Neptune stand out is that it's right next to my Sun, so when it comes to knowing who I am, what I want, what I represent...hmmm...who am I? Oh, look a butterfly! Oh look a fluffy cloud! Oh I don't think I like this...I thought I did but I'm not sure. Do I have to make up my mind now? Oh this really isn't what I expected it to be.

If you've ever been disappointed, that was Neptune. Blame it on him. If you ever had insomnia, that was probably Neptune too - sometimes I have trouble falling asleep because there's a total confusion in my mind and I get in a state of pre-sleep that I can't get out of. If you're a little psychic or you have a strong intuition, you can find the source in Neptune. Or maybe you're a deeply spiritual person - Neptune deals with all of these. And maybe you don't believe in anything astrological, but then you're a sceptic, nothing to do with Neptune.
Fortunately, Neptune is a big planet and an important mythical image, so it can also be responsible for music, psychology and psychoanalysis - a tight connection between the unconscious and the deep seas, all kinds of addiction...in general, there is a connection to all the altered states of the mind, be it daydreaming, sleeping, confusion, being under anaesthetics or mind-altering drugs. And, before you ask: are you on drugs or why have you presented such an astrology-bound post? No, nothing like that! But I do feel even more sleepy than when I started....
Confused? Well, blame Neptune and join the club!

Its a spooky picture...

I got really infantile in a typically 'boy' way and was waiting for a gag about Uranus!

I think I'm a Venus, but I don't follow astrology, so I'm not sure.

Do you know if Pluto does anything, now that it's not a planet?

Vesper: Now that Novel decyphered what song it was, I can say that I love that song. I could also describe myself as a spiritual but not religious person. :)

Novel: hehe Glad you liked it.

Cat: Vou ver se consigo imprimir isto de modo a ficar bonitinho...

PS: I guess depending on the transits we are more or less influenced by it at certain times. Jupiter's the best ;)

FB: I did say something about people rarely being able to see my bottom, so that was close enough! lol

Eric: Well, Neptune is the ruler of your sign Pisces, so this should be a little like you. But all the other planets were somewhere at the time of your birth, so we are influenced by all of them in a certain way.
As for Pluto, it continues to do what it did before. The astronomical category its in doesn't count for much. Astrology takes into account planets, satelies, asteroids, comets...anything lol

As much as I always like having "me too!" moments while reading people's blogs (and I often do here, and am often as you describe here) today I'm quite the opposite of you...in work mode, getting things done, and planning for the future. I'm thinky, sure, but much less abstract than I usually am.

PS - Neptune looks like a giant, shiny marble :)

Stephanie: I'm glad for you! Being all Neptun-y isn't exactly productive and it gets on my nerves. Maybe it is a giant marble, who knows ? ;)

Yeah, well, see how much I don't know about my own sign? Hello, fellow Pisciean.

I read your post back knowing this and am still skeptical. I am drawn to routines and easily distracted, yet I never have insomnia, am not addictive, and definitely not psychic.

You have put alot of time and effort into this post.

I'm upset because it seems my new blogrolling thingy is not updating you.
:(

Eric: Well, this is hard to explain in a simple comment but I'm not a Pisces and being a Pisces doesn't mean you're any of those things I mentioned. Like I said, we're all influenced by all the planets and all the signs by the way that they are positioned in the sky when we were born. So every person is unique and things aren't nearly as simple as horoscopoes in magazines may want to portray. I'll set up an e-learning website if you like ;) haha just kidding. I hope I'm not sounding too...pretentious.

Day: Is it just my blog that isn't working? Is your blogroll from technorati? I don't know much about that...

I don't believe in astrology which is typical of a Scorpio!
I often dream of the sea..I live as far from the sea as you can get in England..and I feel it's pull..

Finally: You have GOT to listen to 'Neptune'..final track in 'The Planet Suite' composed by Gustav Holst!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Beg steal or borrow (failing that Amazon!) a copy..you will not be dissapointed..it is the music of your heart!

Devil Mood said...

Eric: No, no. It's not your fault that you haven't been exposed to the craziness of astrology ;)

Niall: I took you for someone a little bit more open-minded, this can't be! ;) (I'm kidding) I haven't heard that song but I'm about to. The sea is very symbolic, I wonder what it means - do you wonder about the meaning of your dreams?

i don't reject astrology, in fact, i think there sure is a lot of truth in it. but i haven't been bothered to ever find out too much about it. mebbe u shud start the 'devil's school of astro' or something on the internet, and we'll all egt to learn :)

this is strange though - i have almost all the characteristics u mentioned, except probably insomnia. i am quite intuitive, VERY confused and also somewhat, shall we say, er...quite prone to get addicted to just about anything that gives me a kick ;o) dunno what my sunsugn says though, coz i'm the mountain goat :)

Devil Mood said...

Dharmabum: haha my little school, that would be funny! Well, you can have some neptunian influence, even if you're the little goat ;). Maybe your ascendant or moon is in pisces. If you want I can find out for you.
