Now really here

just landed...

I'm back. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to stay a little bit longer.
You see, my house is a pile of dust on one side and bags on the other. Builders are still threatening to drop by at any given time to fix what they should've done when I wasn't here. I'm wearing sleeves!! Yesterday I didn't need sleeves, I didn't know what sleeves were. I miss walking everywhere, the perfect temperature at the beach and in the sea, the stress-free enviroment around, crossing the river four times a day just to go for a walk.

But there was a great thing about coming back yesterday. I got to meet Kimananda who was here in Porto and she is now the honourable first blogger I've ever met. I'd met several other people in person, after I met them online and it was always an awkward moment. But meeting Kim wasn't strange at all, it felt very familiar, really as if I was meeting a person I'd known for a while (which is true!).

So, I'll be struggling behind laundry and furniture and redecoration in the next few days but I still hope I can check up on what you've been doing. :)

Welcome back, Devilish One. Ease back in and keep that beach always near.

Oh crimony, of course Professor Murat beat me here. There’s no way I could get up early enough in the morning to get ahead of him. Anyway, I identified with your crash back to the lack of construction after dancing on the beach. Paradise lost, grieved for until the rhythm of routine dulls the memory down to mundane. Your loss, our gain (so glad you’re back!!!)

I always loathe coming back from holiday..I always think of myself as a big octopus...when I get out to the coast..I can stretch tentacles of my spirit out across the sea and into the sky...when I come home, it's time to retract for fear of injuring my extended spirit on the jagged edges of the buildings in the city.

i'm glad to see you home!

niall that was very eloquent. i feel the same way. i adapt quicker to being on holiday than I do returning from one.

Murat11: great advice! Thanks :)

Missalister: lol you crack me up. It's good to be back, even if it's only to read your comments (which I could do, even on holiday, and that ruins my sentence. bummer)

Shadow: I wanted to sink slowly but it's been heavy lol

Vesper: Oh yes, that would be something :)

Niall: oh yes, I can relate to that. The first days are tough but when you least expect it you're already in routine mode.

Chrispito: I think I adapt badly to both hehe

you met, you are so lucky, both of you. It's good to have you back, even with the builders. I feel your pain, i am looking for a house. With your arrival, fall is officially ON!

Natalie, hi! Yes I probably do, now that you mention it :)

Chloe: Yes, I know everyone was waiting for me to come back to start the Fall. You can start now, go on ;)
And yes, I know we were lucky. It's great that we had that chance to meet.
