Finally someone who knows exactly what I mean when I talk about music critics.
I'm reading Zadie Smith's On Beauty and she quoted someone who once said:
Writing about music is like dancing about architecture.
Isn't that great? And it's so true. There's no point writing or thinking or talking about music because you have to listen to it to understand and experience it. :)

I'm a bit suspicious about the Tevez and Mascherano deals to West Ham. something seems a bit fishy...its great for West ham for the season though.
I agree totally.. I sat next to a music critic in a Sting concert, and he revealed that he didn't actually like Sting. And the critics came out bad, of course, how could it not? And to think he was actually paid for it.. (The critic, that is, not Sting - the latter is worth every penny. Or million, as it were..)

Scholiast: And they can be such arrogant people. How come they're the experts? Everybody is capable of enjoying good music, knowledge isn't important here. Of course, not everyone has the same tastes, but that's good. Humpf...
I hate music critics...actually music journalists in general. I always feel like they're just regurgitating a catalog of useless information, or missing the point of it entirely. Who cares exactly which songs they played, in what order...tell us which ones meant a lot to you, and why? What's your story? What does that song make you feel? That's why I like my musically inclined blogger friends so much better :)
Stephanie: That's exactly it. Most of the times, I don't see their point.
