No. 1 - this Friday, I'm hosting Friday Music. What is Friday Music? Well, it's a weekly post on SleekPelt's Reversing the Numbness blog where people share musical suggestions.
I was really pleased that SleekPelt invited me to host it because it's a fun thing. All I had to do was pick a theme for musical inspiration. My request is that people provide links to music that reminds them of "Teen Love". I specifically highlighted that I don't mean songs that talk about teen love but the songs that remind people of their teenage loves. (It can be both if it's the case, of course). So if you want to participate, you can follow the link and submit your choices. I will listen to all the songs and comment afterwards :)
No. 2 - My Astrology blog is now graced with another Venus as the Muse post. This time it is about Venus in Capricorn. Here's a little bit of it:
(...)Capricorn is known for being very goal-oriented. They like to take control of their lives and follow their ambitions, but surely love relationships can't be handled the same way they handle their business deals. And this is where the trouble begins for Venus in Capricorn. They can't tolerate lack of control over things and love relationships involve lots of uncontrolable emotions, which make them a difficult and important challenge for these people. Alicia Keys (Aquarius Sun) on love: It will forsake you, threaten to break you, take what you got. Because what is the opposite of control (Capricorn)? Vulnerability (the opposite sign - Cancer) and Capricorn will try to avoid that at all costs, as they need to show competence and self-control at all times. Feist (Aquarius Sun) tries to avoid the emotionality but fails: Closing of the stream, in hope we both stay dry, but feeling makes it through within the rush of you. She adds: The tragedy starts from the very first spark, losing your mind for the sake of your heart. (...)

No. 1 - Well how much fun is that?! How cool. There’s always somethin’ goin’ on at LISTP! I went over to Sleekpelt’s and dropped off my teen love song that makes me swoon and melts me down to something unrecognizable. And…
No. 2 – I was hooked up with a Capricorn for quite a few years before I took astrology too seriously. Now that I read this…yeah, goal-oriented, control… Yup, this is the guy who, as a small boy, was lying on a grassy bank looking up at the clouds and knew he would be a pilot some day. He had missile lock on that goal and by god he became a pilot. Damn, I wish I had those qualities! >:-(
Okay. I played. Mine's rather embarrassingly obvious.
If I played it'd probably be a Hindi song--which i doubt you'd understand. :(
Will surely check out the Venus in capricorn post!! Very curious to know for obvious reasons!:-)
Cool tunes.. Are you doing this every week? Anugama for me.
Missalister: I couldn't listen to your song, something about media rights. Tell me the name and I'll download it.
So do I! I'm deeply envious of Earth people and their ability to focus on real life and get what they want. Boy...grrr...;)
Stephanie: Well, I wouldn't have guessed. I don't really remember any mentions of the Cure from you. But that's natural: Teen love stays there.
PS: I don't think you'll like it. It's a bit grim. I'm not too pleased with that post but I worked really hard on it, to tell you the truth!
SusieJ: I'm doing it this week but Sleekpelt does it every friday. You mean anugama.com? Sounds interesting :)
Oh - not that it's the Cure (though if you'd known me as a teen you would have known :) but that it's a love song called Love Song...
Hi Devil Mood! RE: Friday Music, I just sent you an e-mail with one of the dead sea scrolls attached to it... LOL!
Hi, Devil Mood. Just wanted to tell you that Friday Music was great this week! Thanks so much for taking the time to do it. I know it's time consuming, but hopefully you've had fun! (And thanks to everyone else who stopped by, too!)
Stephanie: Of course. And yes I thought the same, if I knew you back then, I'd know :)
MissAlister: Gotcha ;)
Sleekpelt: As I said on your blog, thanks for thinking of me, it was an honour. :)
